Red Ball Tennis

Adult Red Ball Tennis is a FUN adult social experience designed to bring players of almost any age together for FUN and exercise. The sport introduces the foundational skills of tennis; agility, balance, and coordination. You can be playing the game in 10 minutes! You use a 23” racquet similar to a tennis racquet. Not a hard paddle as in Pickleball or Platform Tennis.

Red balls can be made of foam or felt, are larger, bounce lower and travel 66-to-75-percent slower than the standard yellow tennis ball, making it easier to learn and acquire skills. The court size is approximately one quarter the size of a traditional tennis court. This is great for players who no longer want to run and cover regulation size tennis court. And, equipment is provided free by the club.

With a shorter court, lighter rackets and much slower balls, Red Ball gives instant success to new players and can be quite fun for current players of all skill levels. And don’t worry, if you get hit with the ball, it won’t hurt.
